We aim to create long-lasting garments from quality materials. Below you can find our suggestions on how to best care for your clothes.
-
When washing your clothes, wash them inside out and at a low temperature. For delicate materials, use a laundry bag to protect the clothing from friction caused by other garments.
-
Avoid tumble drying your clothes. It is harsh on the fabric and uses a lot of energy. Dry your clothes on hangers, which reduces the need for ironing. When you iron, remember to do it inside out. Drying your clothes outside is tempting, but avoid drying them in direct sunlight, as it can fade dark colors.
-
Wool knits and denim should be washed sparingly. Airing and spot cleaning are usually enough to make the clothes feel fresh again.
-
Keep your knitted garments folded in your wardrobe instead of hanging them. This way, they maintain their shape. Pilling is hard to avoid due to the nature of the fibers. You can buy a small machine to "shave" off the fuzz. This keeps your knitwear looking nice and brand new.
-
Losing a button is not a reason to discard a garment. This is an easy fix! When you think about the resources that went into making your clothes, always try to repair your clothing or support your local tailor. Let them help with our alterations.
-
We encourage you to resell or pass on clothes you no longer use. This way, the lifespan of the clothing is extended, even when you no longer need it!

If a piece of clothing is worn out and not suitable for resale, remember that many charitable organizations offer textile collection points where the materials can be reused.
